For adult students       $108 + $30 supply fee Friday August 16, 23, and 30, 2024 5 - 8 p.m. Exploring the joy of pastel with T Kurtz as she guides the students in painting simple still lifes to more compositions. This 3-day course will take students through small still life studies of subjects like fruit and vegetables; to a final more complex composition on the final day in class. The instructor will work with students working on several different surfaces during the first 2 days of class and also explain value contrast and using fun colors to make realistic representations that are impressionistic and loose. Any student who arrives to class without pastels or who has pastels that aren't on the list can use my pastels, but will be charged $40 for each day of class. Each student will need: Jack Richeson soft pastels 20-piece landscape set from Spokane Art Supply Drawing board Baby wipes Table easel (the school has several but if there is another class who is using them…) I recommend getting a sample pack of Dakota sample pastels boards or paper but it is not required.  *Pre-registration is required for Art School classes; classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will be registered ONLY on receipt of payment. Enrollment requirements for all classes: 3 students minimum. Classes with low enrollment are cancelled 48 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. Refunds and Cancellation Policies: If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be issued. Refunds or class credit will not be issued for any other reason than cancellation of a class due to low enrollment.
